In honor of her 40th birthday, Meghan Markle asked friends and fans to donate 40 minutes of their time to acts of service. That’s amazing advice, but once you’ve done that, we may have found the perfect gift for the horoscope expert in your life.
“In reflecting on my 40th birthday and the many things I am grateful for, I’m struck that time is among our greatest and most essential gifts,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote in a letter accompanying a video on the Archewell Foundation website, in which she asked 40 actors, activists, and mentors to take part in the “40×40” initiative by donating their time to help a woman re-entering the workforce. “I hope they each help someone advance a professional life on her own terms, and I hope that they inspire countless others to give 40 minutes of their time as well. If you are able, please join us and pledge 40 minutes today in service of others in the way that feels right to you.”
In the video, which you can watch above, the duchess is wearing two distinct and stunning constellation necklaces. Well, it turns out the golden pieces honor her children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana.
According to People, both pieces are from designer Logan Hollowell’s constellation collection. The 14k gold and diamond necklaces, which are also available in rose gold, silver, and with a white sapphire option, cost $1,600. For Markle, the Taurus design appears to represent little Archie, who was born May 6, 2019, while the Gemini constellation pays tribute to the family’s newest addition, who was born on June 4, 2021.
This is not the first time Meghan Markle has reportedly used jewelry to pay tribute to her daughter. Before baby Lilibet was even born, the duchess wore the Woman Power Charm Necklace by Awe Inspired during a passionate speech for Global Citizen’s Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World. The piece, which retails for $140, “combines the female Venus symbol with a protesting fist” and is embellished with a purple amethyst, which represents “abundance and enlightenment,” according to the brand’s website.
“My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter. It’s a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world,” she said in the prerecorded video, which aired during the event on May 8. “When we think of her, we think of all the other families around the globe who must be given the ability and support to lead us forward.”
