Jill Biden Wore a Disguise to Pull Off the Funniest April Fool’s Day Prank
After decorating the White House lawn with giant hearts for Valentine’s Day, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has once again embraced the holiday spirit, this time pulling a small prank in honor of April Fool’s Day.
On a flight from California, where she was visiting a vaccination site, to Washington D.C., Dr. Biden dressed up as a flight attendant and passed out ice cream bars to passengers. She wore a name tag that said “Jasmine,” according to the press pool. She may have also worn a black wig.
“During meal service, a flight attendant with black hair & a badge reading Jasmine passed out Dove ice cream bars,” MSNBC’s Kyle Griffin tweeted. “Minutes after, ‘Jasmine’ reappeared, sans wig, revealing herself to be Dr. Biden. ‘April Fool’s,’ FLOTUS said. FLOTUS, visibly pleased, returned to her cabin.”
The media and her staff alike were fooled, according to Today. Was she wearing a mask? How did she pull this off? Regardless, good on her for keeping a sense of humor! Today also notes that in her memoir, Dr. Jill Biden recounts the story of hiding in an overhead bin on Air Force Two during the Obama administration. Sorry, sorry, can’t help but giggle at that mental image.
During the Democratic National Convention last summer, her granddaughter, Natalie Biden, revealed that some of Dr. Jill’s japes are downright scary. “I would say she’s not your average grandmother, she’s a prankster, she’s very mischievous,” she revealed, adding, “When she goes on a run, sometimes she’ll find, like, a dead snake and she’ll pick it up and put it in a bag and she’ll use it to scare someone.”
Dead snakes?! So scary. But wearing disguises to pass out ice cream seems harmless enough. Can you imagine what this woman is going to throw together for Easter…not to mention Halloween?
