Hailey Bieber Swears By This Vegan Serum for Glowing Skin

[ad_1]

The word “relatable” gets tossed around a lot, but believe me when I say the label truly applies to Hailey Bieber. Despite both her current last name and her maiden one, the 24-year-old model is surprisingly down to earth. From posting her skin struggles to being open about mental health and anxiety, she’s a surprisingly open book for someone who practically grew up in the spotlight.

She’s also happy to discuss, in detail, her favorite snacks, sweatpants, and skin-care routine—again, relatable. And, of course, as the face of bareMinerals, she’s more than happy to share her everyday makeup essentials (her routine is much more minimal than you might think).

We caught up with Bieber to get a list of all her favorite things that are brining her comfort these days. Read on for her beauty secrets, the sweater she can’t live without, and the books on her reading list.

The skin-care products I swear by

When it comes to skin care, really good ingredients matter most to me. I really love the bareMinerlals Oil Cleanser, and the Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serum. That one has niacinamide in it, which is my absolute favorite skin-care ingredient—it’s a really good multipurpose ingredient. It’s good for acne, but it’s also really good for moisture, and it’s anti-inflammatory. It just works well for my skin, and I’ve seen it work well for other people too. BareMinerals is also coming out with a new ageless collection, which is made with plant-based phyto-retinol. The neck and face creams are wonderful, they’re the night cream I use right now.

My favorite thing in my closet

Oh my god, how could you make me choose one thing? I always like a good coat. I’m a big coat person. I love sweats, and a good leather jacket. But a big cozy black cashmere sweater is everything to me—The Row does really good sweaters.

My everyday makeup

I wear brow gel every day, even when I’m not wearing other makeup, because I always want my brows to be brushed up and fluffy. BareMinerals has one that’s infused with a serum that helps them grow. And then a good mascara is a must, the bareMinerals one that’s infused with the growth serum has really helped my eyelashes grow, they’re longer than they’ve ever been. I love a good highlighter, and my go-to lip color if I’m wearing one is just something that matches my natural lip color.

The snack I’m obsessed with

My favorite snack when I need to eat something crunchy, like a munchies type of thing, is this brand call Parm Crisps. I love cheese, I’m obsessed with cheese, and they’re these little cheese crips. You know when you eat something with cheese and there’s just burnt cheese on the side? It’s kinda like that. And I think they’re keto. They are so bomb. You wouldn’t walk into my house and not see them. I have tons at all times.

The drinks always in my fridge

Obviously we always have lots of waters in the fridge, and there’s this soda company called United Sodas that has really cool packaging. They’re solid colored cans, and they have all these interesting and delicious flavors. I also really like kombucha, and these sodas called Olipop sodas, which are made with prebiotics. Sometimes I find with bubbly things and really sugary sodas they make you kinda bloated, but I don’t find that with Olipop or kombucha.

My favorite thing to cook

I’m a big soup person. I love making soups because they’re easy and you can throw a lot of things in there. Soup never lets me down. I like to bake a lot too, the other day I did these cranberry vanilla buns that were really delicious.

My favorite reality TV show

I love The Bachelorette.

My self care ritual

I really like doing masks. I love sheet masks. I love any kind of mask. I really like CBD bath products, like bath bombs that are natural and clean but still effective. I love doing Epsom salt baths, and CBD, stuff like that I use a lot.

My family beauty secret

My mom and my grandma are both from Brazil, and they taught me so much about moisturizing. As a kid if I got out of the bath or shower, they would slather me head to toe in lotion, like: “You have to be moisturized! You don’t want your skin to be dry.” They were very big on being buttery and smooth. I think they taught me about making sure to stay regimented, because now as an adult I won’t get out of the shower without putting on body lotion and all my creams. When I started modeling and traveling overseas, my Nana would always ask me to bring her French creams, so I just picked up on that same energy.

The comfy pants I can’t live without

I have SO many favorites. I love sweats in general, but Alexander Wang makes some of the best sweats to me. I love the cozy, comfy Wang sweatsuits, they’re everything. Aritizia makes good sweats and comfys too.

The books I can’t wait to read

I’m very open about the fact that I’m not a big reader—I’m never going to lie and be like “oh I love books,” although there have been a few times in life where I’ve been really sucked into a book. I want to read more. I honestly get a little jealous of people who get lost in books. But I’m definitely going to read [my hairstylist] Jen Atkin’s new book, which is called Blowing My Way to The Top, because she is a queen and everybody should read her new book. One of my best friends just got me a book for my birthday that I’m definitely going to dive into, it’s called So Sad Today. She was like, “I promise you’re going to love it. It really made me think of you.” So I’m excited for that one.

The weird wellness trend I swear by

I do the PRP (plasma-rich protein facial) on my face. I go into the dermatologist’s office, they take my blood, they spin it—so it’s the plasma from my blood—and they put it on my face and roll it in with a dermaroller. I believe in your own healing mechanisms from your body. I really do think that works for keeping your skin healthy and young. So I do that every couple of months, and I’m sure people probably hear that and are like, “that is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard,” but I think it works! It’s a weird trend that I am definitely a part of.

The feel-good songs I love

There’s this song out right now by SG Lewis and Lucky Daye called “Feed the Fire,” and it really just makes me want to move my little booty. Also, I think “Say So” by Doja Cat is such a fun song, every time I hear it I’m like dancing in the car. It’s such a good song.
