Two burglary suspects arrested at scene of crime in Kensington

Two burglary suspects were arrested immediately at the scene of a crime after police received a call from an 80 year old on Saturday night. The incident took place on Lamprey Road at the 80 year old’s residence.

The victim called 999 at 5.59pm. She hid her phone in a cupboard as soon as she heard pounding on the door by some men attempting to open it, which made it possible for her to contact the police later on.

The alleged were arrested when they were attempting to leave the house in a sports-utility vehicle. Police now suspect that this pair has carried a series of burglaries in the area that have taken place in the last month. Both have been charged with burglary and possession of drugs.
