Yes, Prince Harry Sang During the Meghan Markle–Oprah Interview

As you probably know, Oprah Winfrey spent two days with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their CBS tell-all special, which broke the internet (and the British press) on March 7. The first day, the couple dropped all their major bombshells. On the next, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed Winfrey around their chicken coop.

In case you forgot, the henhouse is lovingly referred to as Archie’s Chic Inn, which is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. There Winfrey got a few great extra nuggets of info from the couple, including why they even have a chicken coop. “I think just being able to live authentically,” Markle said. “Like this kind of stuff—it’s so basic, but it’s really fulfilling and just getting back down to basics.”

One juicy detail from the duchess, however, totally overshadowed a sweet moment from Prince Harry. During the tour Markle revealed that she and “H” actually got married three days before the big royal wedding. “Nobody knows that,” she told Winfrey. “But we called the archbishop and said, ‘This thing, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us.’ So the vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury.”

Obviously, this is huge news—and I desperately want to know what was in their vows—but how come no one is talking about what happened next? Per People, Prince Harry then broke out in song, singing “Just the Three of Us,” to the tune of Bill Withers’s “Just the Two of Us.” LOL.

It turns out Prince Harry is pretty musical! During a recent outing filmed for The Late Late Show With James Corden, he rapped most of the theme song for The French Prince of Bel-Air.

The Duke of Sussex opened up about his family to Corden, as well. “It was never walking away; it was stepping back rather than stepping down,” he said during the above segment, which aired on February 25. “It was a really difficult environment, as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press can be like. It was destroying my mental health.” 

He added, “I’ll always be contributing. My life is public service, so wherever I am in the world, it’s going to be the same thing.”

Let’s hope there will also be more singing.
