Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Have Reportedly Broken Up

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have broken up, Page Six is reporting. 

“He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic,” a source told the outlet. 

People is also reporting that the couple have split. “This has been a long time coming,” a source said to the publication. 

Neither Lopez nor Rodriguez has confirmed this news. If true, it’s surprising. As Page Six notes, the couple were just spotted last month looking happy and hugging in the D.R. But per the outlet’s insiders, they’ve been “on the rocks” and “headed for Splitsville.”

The last photo Alex Rodriguez posted to his Instagram was this shot of himself on a boat. “Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie,” he captioned the pic, which was published on Friday, March 12. 

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez, who’s currently filming the movie Shotgun Wedding, posted a series of throwback videos on March 11 with the caption, “Find a good reason to laugh today 😂🤣 Sending everyone love.” 

Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 and had a wedding planned for 2020—but the coronavirus thwarted everything. 

“We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that,” Lopez told Elle. “We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it.”

Lopez also revealed she and Rodriguez completed couples therapy in quarantine. “I miss being creative and running on 150,” she told Allure. “But Alex, of all people, was like, ‘I love it. I love being at home. I love doing my Zooms. I love knowing the kids are there, and you’re there all the time.’ It has been actually really good. We got to work on ourselves. We did therapy. I think it was really helpful for us in our relationship.”
