Yeri Han, Star of the Oscar-Nominated ‘Minari,’ Shares Her Favorite Things

[ad_1]

For Yeri Han, the 2021 Academy Awards will be a homecoming of sorts. “I am looking forward to seeing all the actors and staff who participated in our movie, as I haven’t seen them for ages,” the Minari star tells Glamour. “I am so happy to be at this site of celebration so I can congratulate all the people I wish to.”

It’s been a long road to this year’s Oscars. Han—who plays Monica, a young Korean woman whose husband decides to move the family to Arkansas to start their own farm—has flown in from South Korea so she can be there in person to support Minari, which is nominated for best picture, best director, best actor, best supporting actress, best original score, and best original screenplay.

She’s planning on a wearing a dress to match her skin tone, she says, noting that “simple is best, and I prefer simple styles.” But mainly, the 36-year-old wants the focus to be on Minari, which she says is all about “delivering heartfelt sympathy to people with such a universal story, and living every single day to the fullest.”

Yeri Han is certainly doing that in her everyday life. From her no-fuss getting-ready routine to the simple pleasures that bring her joy, we asked her to share her favorite things with us. Read on for the latest installment of Your Fave’s Faves.

My favorite off-camera look

I enjoy knitwear and really like the brand Margaret Howell for their quality fabric. I also don’t really wear makeup if I’m not working. I usually just tie my hair up with a black rubber band as I don’t want it to flow down on my face, and I wear baseball caps a lot.

My favorite movie

In The Mood For Love. This movie is about the emotions of love and parting. I love all the actors in that movie.

The most comfortable leggings I live in

Lululemon’s leggings keep me super comfortable during workouts and are stretchy for doing pilates or yoga that require big movements.

Lululemon Women’s Yoga Pants

The apps I always use

Daum Navigation and Google Maps. I use them the most as I drive.

My favorite item to collect at home

I collect tea sets. I enjoy coffee and tea and it’s refreshing when drinking in my favorite teacups. It is also interesting to find out which cup is someone’s favorite when my friends come over to my place. I not only collect them but enjoy drinking in them. I still am collecting more tea cups one by one.

The sneakers I’m obsessed with

The Nike Cortez. Their top toes are so cute, and I like vintage-inspired styles.

My go-to snack

Gam, which are soft and dried persimmons, a Korean traditional dessert and potato chips. I like something sweet and salty as munchies. And I love coffee, especially a hot americano. You’ll know why if you’ve tried it.
