Watch Sabrina From ‘Chilling Adventures’ Meet the O.G. Aunts Hilda and Zelda in a New Clip

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina clearly waited for its final season to truly bring out the big guns.

In a newly released clip from part four of Netflix’s dark witchy drama, Beth Broderick and Caroline Rhea return to Greendale as Aunts Zelda and Hilda. The actors, who originated the roles of Sabrina Spellman’s aunts and mentors in the ’90s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, are joining the series in its final run, and it looks like they brought the laugh track with them.

The creepy snippet features a very confused Sabrina Morningstar (Kiernan Shipka) meeting the aforementioned aunties in what appears to be an alternate reality where she stars in a sitcom of her life with kooky aunts that don’t look anything like CAOS stars Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto.

You can watch the clip below if you’re just as befuddled as the teenage witch.

Thankfully, creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shed a bit more light on the subject over on Instagram. “It’s complete #CAOS when #Sabrina finds herself trapped in a diabolical sitcom that never stops filming (a.k.a. the Eldritch Terror know as ‘the Endless’),” he captioned the clip. “Will she escape in time to stop the Void? Find out on 12/31/2020!! Only on #Netflix! 👩‍👩‍👧👸🏼🔮🔑🔥🐐🪐🚀☠️”

As Aguirre-Sacasa said, the final episodes of CAOS hit Netflix on December 21. The streaming service announced the cancellation of the series back in July, revealing that it will end with part four. “Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from day one,” he said at the time, per The Hollywood Reporter. “The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television, and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see part four.”

This throwback moment does feel like the perfect gift to ’90s kids and fans of both series. Here are just a few reactions:

If you recall the O.G. Sabrina, every witch has an evil twin. So I have just one question: Does anyone have eyes on Melissa Joan Hart?!
