The ‘Real Housewives of Dubai’ Is Coming to Bravo in 2022

For the first time since Bravo’s first Real Housewives series, The Real Housewives of Orange County, debuted in 2006, the franchise is going international. Yes, The Real Housewives of Dubai is really happening.

On The Today Show on Monday, November 1, executive producer and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen dropped the big news. The Real Housewives of Dubai will be the eleventh city added to the franchise, which helped solidify Bravo as a reality tv juggernaut in the aughts. The other series in the Real Housewives franchise include (or have included) Orange County, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, Washington, DC, Potomac, Dallas, and Salt Lake City. (Remember when Bravo was a channel that aired operas and symphonies? It has come so far since those days.) “This is going to blow the lid off of the entire franchise,” Cohen said on Today.

“Everything’s bigger in Dubai, and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international Housewives series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides,” Cohen said in a statement.

According to a synopsis from Bravo, The Real Housewives of Dubai will follow a “group of women navigating their relationships, careers, and supremely lavish and ultra-wealthy lifestyles in the United Arab Emirates. With the desert paradise of Dubai as the backdrop, this billionaire’s playground is known for its over-the-top opulence, jaw-dropping modern architecture and wild nightlife scene. Whether they’re coasting on a private plane, running their own empires or hosting on a private island, these glamorous, successful women are ready to serve up scorching hot drama and unexpected twists.”

Although Dubai will be Bravo’s first international Real Housewives city, there are a few international versions not produced by the network including Australia’s The Real Housewives of Melbourne and England’s The Real Housewives of Cheshire. There is not a specific premiere date, but The Real Housewives of Dubai is expected to come to Bravo in 2022. There is also no announcement on the cast, but it needs to be said: Lindsay Lohan lives in Dubai.
