February: TVD fans freak out when Nina and Shaun go on a snowboarding double date with Nina’s former costar Paul Wesley and his wife, Ines de Ramon.
June: In an interview with Us commemorating their one-year anniversary, Shaun White mentions that he’s been binge-watching The Vampire Diaries. Same, Shaun!
“As we were getting to know each other, I was like, ‘Oh, I should check this show out,’” White said. “There’s a lot of episodes. Not that I was mad about it, but I didn’t realize, like, how deep I was going to go. Because seasons now are, like, oh, 10 episodes. These are, like, 23 episodes a season. And I was in it!”
October: In a home-tour video for Architectural Digest, Nina Dobrev reveals that Shaun White helped her paint the exterior of her house white during lockdown. “Let’s just say on day one or two, we were really excited, and by day three or four, and into the first month, I was like, ‘What have I gotten myself into?’” she said.
For Halloween the couple dressed up as characters from Netflix’s popular Emmy-winning limited series The Queen’s Gambit, and they gender-flipped their costumes.
January: White honors his gf’s birthday with a selfie shared on IG with the caption “happy birthday you hot mess.”
February: In a video shared on his TikTok, Shuan White says Nina hid photos of friends and family in his items that he brought to the Beijing Olympics with him. Bejing will be the snowboarder’s final Olympics as a competitor. Due to COVID restrictions, friends and family of athletes are not allowed to attend the events.
