Salma Hayek Just Posted a Sweet (and Rare) Photo of Her Daughter

Salma Hayek Pinault just posted the sweetest tribute to her daughter,Valentina, for her birthday, and it’s making us want to call our moms ASAP. Hayek, who sometimes shares family pictures via Instagram but not much information, gave a rare update on her teenage daughter, who just turned 14.

“My precious girl, you are everything to me. Blessed be the day you came into my life to shine your radiant light Happy Birthday 🎂🎈 Valentina!!!!!,” she wrote on Tuesday, September 21, under a picture of herself and her daughter in silhouette, embracing at sunset.

“Thank you for being YOU,” Hayek added, before posting the same message in Spanish: “Mi niña preciosa, eres todo para mi. Bendito el día que llegaste a mi vida a iluminarla con tu radiante luz. Feliz cumpleaños Valentina !!! Gracias 🙏 por ser TU 💋” Hayek is Mexican-American and her husband, François-Henri Pinault, is French. Valentina Paloma Pinault is her only child.

“❤️🎂❤️🎂” commented Naomi Campbell on the picture. Linda Evangelista, Pinault’s ex-wife, added, “♥️🎈♥️🎈” The great thing about emojis? They’re the same in every language.

Hayek recently celebrated her own birthday, turning 55 and celebrating with friends, including her Marvel’s Eternals costar Angelina Jolie, who pushed her face into a birthday cake. Don’t worry, this was part of a festive Mexican tradition, and Hayek actually egged her friend on and asked her to do it. Not the start of yet another Hollywood feud!

Salma Hayek also reflected (kinda) on the aging process last year, when a follower made an unnecessary comment on one of her Instagram pictures, writing, “Too much Botox. Not needed, Salma.” Never one to miss an opportunity to teach or learn, she responded, “I don’t have Botox. But thank you for the advice because I was thinking maybe it’s time.” Never change, queen.
