Rihanna Just Shared Her First Post About Her Pregnancy

Earlier this week Rihanna revealed that she’s expecting a child with her partner, A$AP Rocky, with a street style photoshoot that only someone as iconic as the billionaire could pull off. It was a baby bump debut as flawless as her maternity style, and now we’ve reached the natural next step in any good social media rollout: the first Instagram post. 

The singer shared with her 120 million (and counting) followers a photo of her belly from the side. The image is followed by more shots from her street style shoot that fans had seen earlier in the week with the initial announcement. “How the gang pulled up to Black History Month,” she captioned the post. 

A source told People that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky “couldn’t be happier” about the new addition to their family. “Having a baby is something she was never focused on, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea,” the source continued. “She couldn’t be happier and is so excited to be a mom. She’s loving all the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her runway shows for Fenty.”

The source even threw in a nod to Rihanna’s much-delayed ninth album, saying, “Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own time table, and having a baby is no different. They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”
