Rihanna Calls Pregnancy Fashion ‘a Challenge’ in a Jaw-Dropping Shredded Ensemble

Rihanna may be killing the maternity fashion game right now, but that doesn’t mean it comes easy.

While attending the Fenty Beauty Universe Event in Los Angeles with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky on February 11, the “Diamonds” singer revealed that dressing while pregnant has presented “a challenge.” 

Still, it’s not without its perks. “I like it. I’m enjoying it,” Rihanna told People. “I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”

She continued, “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform. You put some clothes on, and it’s like, when you look good, you feel good. I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch.”

Rihanna may have utilized oversized coats and fashion staples while she was keeping her pregnancy a secret, that certainly stopped when she announced she was expecting her first child in late January. Rihanna came out swinging with a street-style photoshoot, wearing an open, hot pink vintage Chanel coat from the label’s fall-winter 1996 show by the late creative director Karl Lagerfeld. Her bare bump was draped in jewels and body chains.
