Kristen Stewart Channels Royalty in a Sequined Strapless Gown at London ‘Spencer’ Premiere

Kristen Stewart attended the London premiere of her Princess Diana biopic Spencer on October 7, looking absolutely regal.

For the occasion the actor opted for a gray sequined strapless gown, open-toe heels, and minimal jewelry. She kept her strawberry blonde hair down and styled in loose waves. Dark eye makeup gave the entire look a cool, edgy feel. Check it out for yourself, below.

Kristen Stewart plays Princess Diana in Spencer, which hits theaters on November 5. It takes place over the course of three days in December 1991. An official description for the film, directed by Pablo Larraín, reads, “December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’s marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting, and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”

In a press release for the movie, we also learn it “focuses on one weekend in the life of Princess Diana, as she spends the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, and decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.”

Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life,” Stewart said in a quote released by Neon, the company behind the project.

Reviews for Stewart’s performance are glowing. “For those of us who have admired the talents of Kristen Stewart since she was not yet even a teenager, it is a joy to be able to share that the 31-year-old’s portrayal of Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain’s Spencer is truly the fulfillment of her tremendous promise and will almost certainly bring her the first Oscar nomination of her career,” reads one write-up from The Hollywood Reporter.

And I have to say: Her dress for the London premiere? Also Oscar-worthy.
