Katy Perry Bleached Her Eyebrows So She’d Look More Like Tinker Bell on ‘American Idol’

Clap if you believe in makeovers. American Idol judge Katy Perry really embraced Disney Week on the singing competition show, going blond and wearing prosthetic ears as part of her Tinker Bell costume. Oh, and did I mention she also bleached her eyebrow hairs?

Perry went all out for her transformation into Peter Pan’s silent pixie sidekick. In a behind-the-scenes video posted to Instagram, a makeup artist attached pointed tips to Perry’s ears, while there’s clearly some sort of bleaching agent sitting on her eyebrows. Given that her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, also rose to fame as someone blond and pointy-eared (as Legolas in the Lord of the Rings movies), she had to shout him out. “Legolas’s gf flyin in hot with a pouch full of pixie dust to throw on anyone who doesn’t believe we have the best top 10 in @americanidol history,” she wrote. 

Bloom commented, “🔥🧝‍♀️❤️🧝🏼‍♂️🔥.”

When the episode was over, Perry hinted she wouldn’t be keeping the new look. She wrote in the caption of a post, “Going to go dye my brows back now.” Personally, I think she should enjoy the blond for a little longer. She went through so much trouble to get it, after all. And there are other new famous blonds she can channel, like Billie Eilish and Selena Gomez.

Katy Perry made beauty news headlines a few weeks ago when she showed off her leg hair to her fellow American Idol judges. While talking to a contestant, she said, “Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is other worldly, angelic. As a new mother I don’t have very much time, so I’ve quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full-body chills! It was amazing.”
