JoJo Siwa Dyed Her Hair Brown, and She Looks Totally Different

[ad_1]

When you hear the name “JoJo Siwa,” you probably picture the star in bright, sparkly clothes, a big ponytail wrapped in an even bigger bow, and sunny blonde hair. It’s a look that’s become so synonymous with the 18-year-old that to see her in anything but feels a little shocking.

So prepare to be shocked: JoJo Siwa has posted a photo of herself on Instagram with brown hair. It’s different, to be sure, but good different! While we love Siwa’s preferred shade of blonde, this new soft walnut shade looks just as incredible on her.

But don’t get too attached—the new look is part of a Halloween costume, so it’s unclear how long she’ll keep it. The 18-year-old decided to dress up as professional dancer Jenna Johnson, her partner on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, for the October holiday and truly went for it. We’re talking matching outfits, a special pedicure, and that aforementioned new hair color.

“It’s almost Halloween…. So today I decided to dress up as @jennajohnson. Made sure I hit every detail from HEAD to TOE!!!” Siwa wrote on Instagram. “Literally colored my hair and painted my toes. Definitely was worth it!!! We are PREPARED and EXCITED for this Monday.”

See for yourself, below:

She was also photographed out in Los Angeles in her costume. While it seems like this is just a temporary look, we can’t help but wish she kept it around for a bit.

Johnson and Siwa made history as the first same-sex couple to compete on Dancing With the Stars and have become a fan favorite. They have the highest overall score of any couple and their dances continually go viral each week. As our staff writer Jenny Singer put it, “Tell me why I am dumbfounded in the face of this teenager wearing a wig, dancing a paso doble to a song from the Disney Chanel original movie Descendants 2. Siwa and Johnson have a beguiling shared energy, like they’ve both had their muscles replaced with something slicker and silkier.”
