Jennifer Lopez Reportedly Wants to ‘Give It a Shot’ With Ben Affleck

In late April, Page Six reported famous exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were spending time together. The Justice League actor was allegedly being picked up in a car owned by Lopez and taken to her L.A. home for low-key hangouts. At the time, sources were saying the meet-ups were strictly friendly. “They are friends…. They’ve never not been,” an insider said. 

But things might have changed since then. In May, People reported Affleck and Lopez spent the weekend together in Montana. “[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town,” a source told the outlet. “They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.”

Then a source told People in a second story about the trip, “She had a great time with Ben. She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.”

So does that mean their relationship has gone from platonic to romantic? We won’t know for sure until Lopez and Affleck confirm themselves, but this new report from E! Online has some interesting info. 

“She wants to give it a shot with Ben,” an insider revealed to the outlet. “They never really had closure, and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.”

They continued, “[Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez] have always stayed in touch and had a strong connection…. She finally has had the opportunity to spend time with him and see where this could lead. They are very comfortable together and it’s easy. She wants to keep seeing him and is very happy.”

This is a 2021 plot twist I didn’t seeing coming—but I’m very here for it. Of course, we’ll keep you updated on all “Bennifer” updates as they come in. Man, it really is 2003 again.
