More reported details about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s whirlwind reunion keep pouring in. The latest comes from TMZ, which has sources who say Affleck was sending Lopez “loving” and “longing” emails back in February.
Again, this is just a report, so take it with a grain of salt—but per TMZ, Affleck was writing Lopez messages while she was in the Dominican Republic shooting er movie, Shotgun Wedding. Keep in mind, Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were technically still together at this time, as well.
According to TMZ, the alleged emails included Affleck telling Lopez how beautiful she looked in the D.R. and how he wished he could be there with her. The messages reportedly also included references to Affleck’s writing, which Lopez allegedly loves.
TMZ reports Affleck and Lopez kept emailing back and forth from February to April, when Lopez wrapped filming on Shotgun Wedding.
Let me just reiterate this is just from sources. We won’t know anything concrete until Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck say something themselves. That being said, a string of emails could explain what feels like a whirlwind reunion between the exes, which kicked off—at least in the public eye— at the end of April, when Page Six reported Affleck was secretly going to Lopez’s L.A. home for hangs. In early May, the two reportedly vacationed together in Montana.
“[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy,” a source told People.
“She had a great time with Ben,” a source told People in a second story about the trip. “She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.”
Meanwhile, Lopez’s ex, Alex Rodriguez, reportedly isn’t happy about this reunion. “A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on,” a source told E! Online. “He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.”
