Jennifer Aniston Opened Up About Being ‘Buddies’ With Brad Pitt

In what shouldn’t be shocking news because, yes, exes can get along, Jennifer Aniston says she and her ex-husband Brad Pitt are actually, truly friends.

“Brad and I are buddies. We’re friends,” Aniston told Howard Stern on June 23, per People. She and her Friends costars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow appeared on Stern’s radio show together, and Aniston recalled working with Pitt on a recent virtual table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She said reading with Pitt was “absolutely fun” and explained, “We speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched [the virtual table read] and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be.”

Jennifer Aniston is also on good terms with her second ex-husband, Justin Theroux. “I would say we’ve remained friends,” he told Esquire. “We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship.”

Theroux added, “We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She’s a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren’t in contact, for me personally. And I’d like to think the same for her.”

On what Aniston is looking for now in terms of love, she told People recently, “I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.” As for her thoughts on online dating, she said, “Absolutely no. I’m going to just stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it.”
