Here’s Why Jennifer Lopez’s Latest Selfies Are Fueling Breakup Rumors

The internet is convinced Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are over…again. 

On April 11, Lopez posted a series of hot selfies from the set of her new film that fueled rumors she and Rodriguez have called off their impending nuptials. From Vanity Fair to Page Six, multiple brands reported that Lopez was blatantly posting pics devoid of her $1.8 million engagement ring.

Vanity Fair found it particularly suspicious that InStyle recently published a photo shoot that also lacked a certain baguette-shaped diamond. On top of that, the piece featured interviews from practically everyone in Lopez’s life except Rodriguez. Even her ex, Ben Affleck, was included. 

This all comes just a month after multiple outlets reported the pair had split. On March 13, one day after the news made headlines, Lopez and Rodriguez shut down those rumors. “We are working through some things,” they said in a joint statement, which was obtained by People.

Since then, the pair reunited in the Dominican Republic, where Lopez has been filming her latest project, Shotgun Wedding, which she’s also producing. 

Nearly 20 years ago (!!!), Jennifer Lopez gave us some very specific instructions: “Don’t be fooled by the rocks I got.” I am now failing that assignment, because I’ve been staring at this new giant ring on Instagram for hours, and I still don’t know what to make of it. Is that one ring with two giant diamonds connected by a loop? Or are we all wrong and she is wearing her engagement ring with another one stacked on top? Why would she do that? Either way, isn’t it heavy? 

“Keep calm and work on the weekend,” she captioned the first series of pics. Is it possible she’s in costume and simply doesn’t want to wear her ring to set? We need answers ASAP.
