Here’s How Megan Fox Responded to Being Called Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Wife’ by Mistake

Megan Fox is not Machine Gun Kelly’s wife…yet.

On February 20, the actor and singer attended the 71st NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, Ohio when an overzealous sports announcer seemed to get a bit ahead of himself when announcing their presence at the event. After Fox and MGK made a few placating faces for the jumbotron, the sportscaster can be heard saying, “Please welcome Machine Gun Kelley and his wife, actress Megan Fox.”

From there, Fox laughs before slightly shaking her head. Turning to Kelly, she seemingly says something along the lines of, “I am not your wife,” though we can’t say for sure. However, it is clear she clocked the error.

Here’s a clip that Sports Center shared on Instagram:

To be fair, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are going to be married eventually. The couple announced their engagement on January 12, with a video of the proposal.

“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree,” Fox wrote in her IG caption. “We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.” Reminder: don’t drink your partner’s blood

MGK also shared the meaning behind the custom engagement rings in his own post. “I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” he wrote.

By the way, when the pair do get married, it would be far more appropriate to describe Machine Gun Kelly as Megan Fox’s husband… She has 10 million more followers than him on Instagram, after all.
