Hailey Bieber Just Shut Down This ‘Big Fat’ Rumor About Her and Justin Bieber

There are few couples in Hollywood as prone to rumors and gossip as Justin and Hailey Bieber—and the 24-year-old model is very aware of that fact.
“You have to know what the truth is behind everything. There’s so many narratives that float around about me, about him, about us together,” Hailey said during a lengthy episode of 4D with Demi Lovato, which dropped on September 17. But there’s one “big fat” rumor that bugs the model far more than the others.
“There’s one big fat narrative that goes around that’s like, ‘Justin is not nice to her and he mistreats her.’ It’s so far from the truth. It’s the complete and utter opposite,” Hailey told Demi Lovato, per Elle. “I really am lucky to say I’m with someone who is extremely respectful of me, who makes me feel special every single day. So when I see the opposite of that, I’m just like, ‘Huh?’ And everybody around who knows us personally would say the same thing.”
She added, “If the lie is, ‘They’re miserable in their relationship.’ Well, the truth is that we’ve literally never been more obsessed with each other and we have so much fun together.”
This is not the first time Hailey Bieber shut down the notion that her husband of two years treats her unkindly. Following a trip to Las Vegas in July, rumors began swirling that the “Sorry” singer was yelling at his wife after one of his shows. The evidence? A video circulating amongst fans of Justin speaking to Hailey after they left a club, in which many believed the pop star was screaming.
Seemingly in response, Hailey shared a photo of her kissing Justin with a pointed message to her followers. “Reminiscing on how amazing last weekend was. Had the best time surrounded by so much love,” Hailey wrote on her Instagram Story. “Any other narrative floating around is beyond false. Don’t feed into the negative bullshit peeps.”
Still, there is one thing Hailey Bieber doesn’t mind fans saying about her. “When you marry someone that is really well known, you also accept that a lot of the time people are going to be like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s blah, blah blah’s wife.’ It doesn’t bother me,” Hailey told Demi, per People. “At the end of the day, it doesn’t bother me when somebody’s like, ‘Oh, you’re Justin’s wife.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m Justin’s wife!’ Because where is the lie?”
