‘Ginny & Georgia’ on Netflix Might Be the Next ‘Gilmore Girls’—Here’s Your First Look

Netflix just released the first images of its new family dramedy, Ginny & Georgia—the show that fans have been comparing to Gilmore Girls since it was first announced in 2019.
It’s coming to Netflix on February 24, and here is the official description for the 10-episode series:
Hmmm…a mother-daughter duo with switched dynamics living in a quaint New England town? It’s really no wonder comparisons to Gilmore Girls keep rolling in. (Reader, I was going to shorten Gilmore Girls to GG in this sentence, but Ginny & Georgia share the same initials. Interesting!) Still, it does sound as though there are some more mysterious elements at work here than in the iconic Amy Sherman-Palladino series.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at Stars Hollow—I mean, whatever town Ginny and Georgia live in.
Here’s your first difference: There’s a third Miller! Does he also have G-name? Nope. Austin (Diesel La Torraca) was not only left out of the title and description, but he doesn’t even get to share an initial with his mom and sister. Awkward.
Okay, but Marcus (Felix Mallard, above) is kind of serving Jesse vibes, no? And if we have Jesse, we def need a Dean…or maybe a Deanna?
Meanwhile, which of these fine fellows seem like Georgia’s Luke?
I’d say the guy at the bar/cafe/whatever this place is, right? He and his plaid shirt have my vote.
You’ll have to wait until February 24 to see if this series will fill the hole that Lorelei and Rory Gilmore have left behind. Mark your calendars!
