Emily Ratajkowski Slams Trolls Who Call Her a ‘Sh*tty Mom’: ‘Shame on You All’

Emily Ratajkowski is calling out mommy shamers who say she’s a “shitty mom.”

On July 16, the model took to Instagram to respond to these “awful remarks” on her Instagram posts. “We are all reflecting back on shaming Britney [Spears] and calling her a bad mom,” Ratajkowski wrote over a car selfie, per Us Weekly. “We talk about how we have to ‘do better’ as a culture. Meanwhile, my comments are filled with awful remarks about how I don’t deserve to be a mom. Shame on you all.”

She continued on her Instagram story, “I don’t care if you hate me or hate celebrity (or just hate women) but it’s incredibly scary to become a parent and no one deserves to be told by strangers that they’re a shitty mother.”

Emily Ratajkowski and her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard welcomed their first child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, this March. Unfortunately, the new mom has been facing criticism from mommy shamers even before baby Sly was born.

In January, she took to Instagram stories to debunk rumors that she received lip injections while pregnant. “You can’t even get injections when you’re pregnant,” she wrote over a mirror selfie, per Us Weekly. “A woman’s blood volume increases 50% which is why ladies can get a little puffy in the face and lips during pregnancy.”

Honestly, this kind of hypercriticism celebrity moms face is out of control—as is the lengths they often have to go to in order to protect their children’s privacy. On July 17, Ratajkowski shared Blake Lively’s recent paparazzi horror story on her own Instagram story.

“You edit together these images together to look like I’m happily waving. But that is deceitful,” Blake wrote in response to a since-deleted @DailyMailAu post, per @CommentsByCelebs. “The real story is: My children were being stalked by a man all day. Jumping out. And then hiding. A stranger on the street got into words with them because it was so upsetting for her to see. When I tried to calmly approach the photographer you hired to take these pictures in order to speak to him, he would run away. And jump out again at the next block.”

Lively continued to describe her “frightening” encounter with the photographer and asked that The Daily Mail “stop paying grown-ass men to hide and hunt children.” She concluded, “There are plenty of pictures you could’ve published without the kids. Please delete. C’mon. Get with the times.”
