Britney Spears Fans Think She Looked ‘Annoyed’ In Clips of Jamie Lynn’s 2017 Tribute Performance

After slamming loved ones publically supporting #FreeBritney to “save face” after being silent for years, Britney Spears has specifically called out her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, in a new post.
On the evening of July 17, Britney posted a second quote to her feed, which read, “Take me as I am or kiss my ass, eat shit, and step on legos.” In her lengthy caption, the “Lucky” singer went in on those who criticize her dancing videos on Instagram, making it clear it’s the closest thing to performing she will do while under the thumb of the conservatorship she says has “killed my dreams.”
“I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think 🚫🙅🏼♀️ 🚫!!!! I’ve done that for the past 13 years,” she wrote. “I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time … which I didn’t mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother fucking spa 💆🏼♀️🤭🧖🏼♀️!!!!”
Britney also revealed that she wasn’t happy when Jamie Lynn used her music in a performance at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes,” she wrote. “My so-called support system hurt me deeply!!!!”
If you know anything about fandom—especially fans of Britney Spears—you can probably guess that clips from this awards show have resurfaced. One account, @britneyvibess posted a video from the Britney Spears tribute, tweeting, “Omg, I never noticed how annoyed and embarrassed Britney while looks while Jamie Lynn sings HER song.”
In the video, you can see Britney dancing in the audience next to her significantly more enthusiastic mother, Lynne Spears.
In a second video, posted by fan account @breatheonmiley, Britney reacts to the surprise tribute in a back-stage interview. “No words,” she told the reporter. “I was so surprised and she was so cute and she had that little devil look in her eye.”
This comes after Jamie Lynn took to Instagram to defend herself against critics following her older sister’s testimony in June. “Maybe I didn’t support the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you that I support my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after,” she said, in part. “I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her to do many years ago—oh, not in a public platform but just in a personal conversation between two sisters.”
In her initial Instagram post from June 17, Britney wrote, “There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support…there’s nothing worse than that!!!! How dare the people you love the most say anything at all.”
