Camila Cabello Just Revealed the ‘Terrifying’ Thing Shawn Mendes Does in His Sleep

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are known for their PDA, intimacy, and generally being celebrity couple goals. But they’re still human, and apparently Mendes has some strange bedtime habits.

Since the initial COVID-19 outbreak, Cabello’s been spending a lot of nights in Miami with Mendes and their new puppy. And during this time, she’s learned something new about her boyfriend: He sleep talks.

Apparently, when Cabello and Mendes turn in for the night, she stays up on her iPad, and he’s out like a light in five minutes. It isn’t long before he starts saying random things in his sleep.

“I would be reading or something, and he would just start sleep-talking, and it would scare the shit out of me,” Cabello said during an August appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden. “He’d just be like, ‘Babe! That…feels…so…good,’ and then he’d go back to sleep. That is the first thing he ever said while sleep-talking. I was like, ‘Thank you? I’m not really doing anything right now.’”

Mendes has always talked in his sleep, Cabello says, but the extra time together has made the habit extra scary.

“Can you imagine somebody opening their eyes, looking at you, but you know they’re asleep?” the “Havana” singer said. “Can you imagine the terror of that? I would just be so scared. It’s terrifying.” Yup, agreed.

Speaking of sleep: Cabello told Glamour that her bedtime essentials are a white noise machine, an essential oil diffuser, and the Great British Baking Show. She also listens to podcasts. “When I can’t sleep, I will put on a cooking podcast called Home Cooking,” she told us. “Something neutral that engages me but also doesn’t make me emotional, so I can get tired again and go back to sleep if I want to. There’s also Poetry Unbound, which reads a poem and dissects it. The host is incredible.”
