Yes, it’s already time for awards shows on top of the holiday season. The 2021 People’s Choice Awards aired on Tuesday night, December 7, and the celebrities looked stunning on the red carpet. Since the PCAs is one of the few awards shows in which normal people like you and me get a say, the event is a little more casual than, say, the Emmys and the Oscars. The guest list is also more of a mixed bag: Oscar winners and movie stars mingle with reality-TV stars. The whole vibe of the People’s Choice Awards makes it more likely that celebs will take a sartorial risk. Some go for business casual, some go for cocktail, and some, like Icon of 2021 award winner Halle Berry, go for skintight sequined jumpsuits. And others, like Sarah Hyland, dress like a literal marshmallow (which we love).
