This Game-Changing Mask Gives Your Hair J.Lo Levels of Bounce

What do Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, and Ariana Grande have in common? Aside from the fact that they all are incredibly beautiful and richer than I will ever be, they have some of the most iconic hair in the biz. This is all thanks to the fact that they share the same hairstylist, Chris Appleton. He’s the mind behind some of the coolest hairstyles of the past few years, and no matter if he’s working on Ari’s pony or J.Lo’s natural curls, you can always count on his looks to have this perfect, glossy, expensive shine.

And now, you can get that elusive shine at home, as Appleton has just released the Money Masque, a lightweight mask for shiny, healthy hair in collaboration with hair care brand Color Wow. Although he’s been the brand’s global creative director for years, this is his first official collaboration with Color Wow.

“The reason we called this mask ‘Money’ is because it captures that feeling when you’ve gone to the salon and had your hair blown out, and you feel rich,” Appleton said a virtual editor event. “You feel like everyone is looking at you. We wanted to make every woman at home feel like J.Lo, and feel their absolute best, and that starts with your hair being in great condition.”

To get hair in excellent shape, the mask uses blue sea kale to repair, hydrolyzed vegetable protein complex to strengthen, and sea kelp and algae to moisturize. Instead of just sitting on the outside of your hair like a lot of heavier masks, which makes your hair feel softer but doesn’t anything for it’s health, this one really penetrates deep into your hair to nourish and strengthen it. It also makes your hair look and feel better both instantly and over time. It works on all hair types, and you can use it one to three times a week, depending on your wash schedule.

“Everyone knows I love a lot of styling products,” says Appleton. “We effectively put them into a mask, so not only are you getting the nourishment and conditioning effects that you need in your hair, but you also get a great performance when you style it. Real women want to keep up with what’s going on, and that falls on styling. And for me, you have to put back what you’re taking out. The beauty of hair is in the condition. Whatever style it’s in, if your hair is not in good condition it won’t come off looking its best.”
