The ‘Insecure’ Cast Did One Last Red Carpet Together, and We’re Trying Not to Cry

Jay Ellis did Lawrence justice as the picture of smooth style. He wore a fuzzy black sweater over a white turtleneck and completed the outfit with striped black-and-white pants and white boots.

When not showing off their glamorous outfits, the cast of Insecure was showing off the chemistry they built over five years working together, laughing and taking selfies just as their own characters would. They kept the good vibes flowing at the afterparty, too.

I’m low-key sad knowing this is the last time we’ll see them together at a premiere, but thank you, cast of Insecure, for blessing us with this Black excellence. I’m not crying, you are.

HBO announced the end of Insecure on January 13. “Issa has turned insecurity into an iconic form of comedy,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO programming, in a statement, per Variety. “The show is as incisive as it is heartfelt, and it has resonated strongly with its audience because of the deeply personal work that Issa, Prentice, Melina, the cast, and the writers have put into it. This talented team has conceived a brilliant final season for Insecure, and we look forward to having many more stories to tell with this singular group of collaborators.”
