Taylor Swift Fans Are Convinced a Third Surprise Album Is Coming—and They Could Be Right

If you’ve been listening to Evermore on repeat for days, listen up: Many Taylor Swift fans believe she’s going to release a third secret album called Woodvale—and there’s actually a ton of evidence to back them up.

Fans are convinced there’s more music to come after they discovered a possible Easter egg in the Folklore deluxe CD set. In fact, they believe Folklore and Evermore are part of an album trilogy. In the black and white image, the word “Woodvale” seems to be hidden in the trees.

Let’s be honest, though fans may not always be right, many of their theories have turned out to be correct. Case in point: when Swift confirmed Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ third daughter’s name is Betty. (Many are now suggesting she did the same with Gigi Hadid baby’s name.)

If this is true, it looks like the singer, who has become known to include Easter eggs in just about anything she does, was trying to tell fans something…

Naturally, this sparked a ton of new theories and had Swifties looking for more clues. Guess what? They found plenty. While some discovered Woodvale is the name of a property in the Lake District, a romantic spot in the U.K., others noticed Easter eggs in her merch.

Then there’s this theory about her cats…mainly that there are three cats so there must be three albums. Okay, this feels a little weak, but Swift is somewhat known for her devotion to numerology.

In Swift’s Evermore announcement, the 31-year-old did admit she couldn’t stop writing in quarantine. “To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs,” she tweeted. “To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in.”

The pop star also told Apple Music, “When I put out Folklore I remember just feeling so proud and happy but still like foot on the gas, like ‘let’s keep going—this is fun—I’m not finished with this’ and everybody, all my collaborators, we all felt the same way about it so we just kept going.”

Taylor Swift’s interview echos her tweet in that she felt like she wanted to “keep going” and keep writing to give her characters and their stories closure. Of course, only time will tell whether we’ll get new music soon. As one fan pointed out, Swift released Evermore exactly 20 weeks after Folklore, so if the rumors are true, we should probably expect Woodvale to be released on March 25, 2021.
