Scarlett Johansson Is Reportedly Pregnant With Her Second Child

Scarlett Johansson is expecting her second child, sources tell Page Six

Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin [Jost, her husband] are thrilled,” one insider told the publication.

Another added, “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”

The Oscar-nominated actor ignited pregnancy chatter last month when she was noticeably absent from some events for Black Widow, the new Marvel movie she stars in and executive produced. She has made some appearances, though—albeit virtually. As Page Six notes,  Johansson appeared on The Tonight Show June 21 via Zoom but was only filmed from the shoulders up.

Neither Scarlett Johansson nor Colin Jost has said anything themselves about these rumors, and they probably won’t. The couple keeps their private lives relatively…well, private. But Johansson has talked candidly about motherhood in the past. (She welcomed her first child with ex Romain Dauriac in 2014.)

“I don’t profess to know anything about parenting, anything more than anybody else, [but] being a working mom is an incredible challenge, [and] it’s an incredible gift,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2017. “I think you always feel a little bit of guilt. If you’re at work, you feel like you’re missing out on those special moments with your kid. If you’re with your kid, you feel like you’re not giving enough to your job. It’s a balance…I have a lot of huge admiration for working moms. I’m barely, barely holding it together.”

She also spoke to Parade magazine several years back about the struggles of being a celebrity parent. It’s hard,” she said, per Today. “On the one hand, you don’t want to isolate your kids, but you don’t want to make your kids feel like freaks: There’s this fascination with famous kids, like they’re celebrity spawn. But there’s always going to be an adjustment. At some point, you have to take your life back and say, ‘You know what? If I feel like picking up my dry cleaning and if someone’s going to photograph me doing it, so what?’ Part of being with your kids is making them feel as safe and normal as you can.”
