Ryan Reynolds Crashed ‘The Tonight Show’ to Talk About Sex With Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds wants you to know his sex life with wife Blake Lively is “totally normal,” thank you very much.

On November 10, the Red Notice star showed up unannounced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in lieu of the late-night show’s scheduled guest Will Ferrell, and things got personal fast. Fallon began the surprise interview innocuously enough by asking, “How’s Blake? How are the kids?” You know, as one does when they weren’t expecting Deadpool to show up.

Reynolds, who has been married to the Gossip Girl actor since 2012, responded, “You know, they’re all good. Blake’s—no personal questions, by the way—but Blake is great. The sex is totally normal.” Okay!

Though Fallon swore he wasn’t planning on asking about the actor’s sex life, Reynolds pushed back. “Hey, hey, hey! Pump the sex brakes, Jimmy,” he joked. “I asked no personal questions, and you’re going right in on it, all right? Barbara Walters, easy. Easy does it.”

Jokes aside, Ryan Reynolds recently opened up about what keeps his and Lively’s nine-year marriage so strong while raising their three daughters. “We don’t take each other too seriously, but we’re also friends,” Reynolds told Entertainment Tonight. “Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That’s kinda the question you gotta ask yourself, you know, going into it.”

He added, “We’ve always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I’m lucky to have a buddy in that.”

Part of their friendship involves a healthy amount of making fun of each other. When asked by People back in August whether he has experience with trolls, Reynolds admitted that even their three little girls have begun ganging up on him at home.

“Oh, God, yes, I do. Are you kidding me? I live with one,” he responded. “My wife trolls the crap out of me. Why would I go online? I’ve got it right here at home. Even my daughters now troll me, so, like, I’m safe from nothing.”
