Priyanka Chopra Made a Joke About Marrying Chris Hemsworth If He Became Single
During the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, which hit Netflix on Tuesday (November 23), Priyanka Chopra Jonas—actor and wife to Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers—joked that while she wouldn’t want to be married to anyone else, she would consider marrying Chris Hemsworth if he were single.
“Seriously, though, I do want to talk about how much I love my husband and what I love about him,” Chopra Jonas said, per Insider. “One of the things I love about my husband is how much we have in common. For instance, we’re both totally, completely, wholly obsessed—and I mean obsessed—with Nick Jonas. We love Nick Jonas, both of us. He’s our favorite.
“I wouldn’t want to be married to anyone else, guys, I’m serious,” she added. “Unless, of course, Chris Hemsworth suddenly became single. Might change things.” Nick Jonas laughed at this—the Jonas Brothers have a good sense of humor!
Joe Jonas also laughed when his wife, Sophie Turner, used her roast moment to annihilate him for his old purity ring and former exes. “Let’s talk about the purity rings,” Turner said, per Cosmo. “For those of you who don’t know, purity rings are worn to demonstrate that you’re abstaining from sex before marriage. And the Jonas Brothers, they all had them. Like, I know this is a roast, and you all think I should be going after them, but I think we need to set the record straight here. No, the rings weren’t a good idea. Yes, as a gesture, they’re laughably, toe-curlingly lame.”
She continued, “But remember—this was about more than a gesture: This was about faith. This was about principle. This was about taking a stand and setting an example. Look, Joe Jonas wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal rings. He was sticking his fingers in costars, actresses, and even a supermodel or two.”
Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor–a literal god–in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been married to Spanish model and actor Elsa Pataky since 2010. They have three children together.
Meanwhile, Nick Jonas–Priyanka Chopra dating rumors first circulated in 2017 after they attended the Met gala together, but they denied them. The chatter picked back up in May 2018; Us Weekly published a report claiming Chopra and Jonas were seeing each other. “It’s a good match and they are both interested in each other,” a source told the publication at the time. They got engaged after two months of dating, tying the knot in December 2018 with two wedding ceremonies (one traditional Hindu ceremony, and one Western ceremony).
