Nominate an Outstanding Community College Student for Glamour’s College Women of the Year

For more than 60 years, Glamour has recognized outstanding college women for their crucial contributions in science, medicine, media, sports, food, and community service with our annual College Women of the Year Awards. Past honorees have included everyone from a 1961 Barnard College sophomore by the name of Martha Stewart to Harvard University sophomore and prodigious poet Amanda Gorman in 2018.

As always, we’ll continue to honor all kinds of remarkable young women, but this year we want to shine a spotlight on academic institutions that are absolutely vital but don’t always get the shine they deserve: Glamour will be selecting the 2021 honorees from students enrolled at community colleges across America.

Maybe you’re working by day and studying at night. Maybe you’re a mom who has returned to school to complete a degree and start a new career. Maybe you jumped into college after finishing a tour of duty. Or maybe you simply wanted to wade into academia without immediately committing to a four-year institution. Whatever the case, you have a story to tell and we want to amplify your voice and your achievements within your school and your community.

Below, you’ll find a form to nominate yourself (or a friend or family member) to be one of Glamour’s College Women of the Year. We also encourage community college educators to nominate worthy candidates; sometimes the best and brightest among us are a little shy when it comes to self-promotion. We’re deeply looking forward to hearing from incredible community college students across the country.
