Nancy Pelosi Wore the Same Suit to Both Donald Trump Impeachment Hearings
If the suit Nancy Pelosi wore to President Donald Trump’s second impeachment hearing looked familiar, that’s because it was. It turns out the Speaker of the House opted to wear the same suit to this hearing (following the Capitol riot) as she did to Trump’s first impeachment hearing on December 18, 2019.
Representative Pelosi paired the high-neck suit with a gold necklace and a floral mask as she oversaw Trump’s impeachment for incitement of insurrection for his role in the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6. After Vice President Mike Pence refused to enact the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office, the House of Representatives voted 232-197 to impeach Trump. Now the case goes to the Senate.
Pelosi’s impeachment suit may be a not-so-subtle dig at Trump. He is the first president to be impeached twice, after all. Pelosi’s office confirmed to People that the outfit worn on Wednesday, January 13, was the exact same one worn at the first hearing.

And justice must prevail.” She explained that Trump “must go” because “he is a clear and present danger to the nation.” She added, “It gives me no pleasure to say this—it breaks my heart.”
Despite the somber occasion, Twitter praised Pelosi for her reaction to the Capitol riot (including her outfit choice). “The fact that Nancy Pelosi wore the same outfit today as she did during the first impeachment sent me on a rocket to the moon,” one social media user joked. Another tweeted, “the fact that nancy pelosi has an impeachment outfit… i love it.”
One person even turned the suit into a Devil Wears Prada meme:
