Milo Ventimiglia and Jared Padalecki Just Had a ‘Gilmore Girls’ Lovefest

Any real Gilmore Girls fan has a favorite among Rory‘s three boyfriends. If you need a refresher: There’s Dean (Jared Padalecki), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia), and Logan (Matt Czuchry). Naturally, you’d think the actors who play these characters would root for their own character to end up with Alexis Bledel’s Rory. But no: it It turns out Milo Ventimiglia is Team Dean and Jared Padalecki is Team Jess.

During a recent virtual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the This Is Us actor held up an “I heart Dean 4 Ever” sign. Fallon jokingly asked if the placement of the sign (taped to his Emmy nomination certificate) was a slight diss at Padalecki. To this, he responded, “Not at all, Jared and I are really good friends.” He explained that he made the sign for someone online but decided to keep it for himself.

“After I made it I just said, ‘Well, let me just hang on to this ’cause this is cool,’” he said. “And I literally just kind of stuck it right onto my Emmy notification that was hanging on my wall.” 

Well, Padalecki must’ve appreciated the little blast from the past because he posted a photo to Instagram of his own that said “I Heart Jess 4 Ever.”

“Ohmigod @miloanthonyventimiglia our offices are SO SIMILAR!! Little bit of @michaelmuller7, little bit of @gilmoregirls homeboy love! TWINSIES!” Padalecki captioned his Instagram post. 

He added, “(Well, I don’t have an Emmy nomination, but I DO have a ‘Best Body’ trophy that was worth every dollar @genpadalecki paid for it on Hollywood & Vine). Miss ya brother. Couldn’t be more proud of ya.”

We might never know who Rory Gilmore ended up with, but at least we know that in some alternate universe somewhere, Dean and Jess are bros.
