Meghan Markle Will Sit Down With Oprah for a ‘Wide-Ranging’ Television Interview

Just one day after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed they’re expecting baby number 2, another exciting announcement took place.

On February 15, CBS announced they will be hosting an exclusive sitdown between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and broadcast legend Oprah Winfrey. “Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” will run for 90 minutes on Sunday, March 7, and feature an “intimate conversation” between Markle and Winfrey before they’re joined by her husband of over two years, Prince Harry.

“Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” a rep for CBS shared in a statement. “Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”

This will be Prince Harry and Markle’s first in-depth television interview since stepping down from their royal duties last year. The couple completed their final engagements as working members of the royal family in March 2020 before eventually settling into their new lives in California with baby Archie

On February 14, a spokesperson for the royal couple confirmed that Markle is pregnant with her second child. “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” they told People. Exactly 37 years earlier, Buckingham Palace’s announcement that Princess Diana was pregnant with her own second baby became front-page news.

Clearly, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Oprah Winfrey will have a lot to talk about. Who better to discuss everything with than Winfrey, who attended their royal wedding in 2018 and lives practically down the street in Montecito, California?

“Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” is set to air on Sunday, March 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
