Mandy Moore Just Shared a Pic of Her Newborn Son and Revealed His Full Name

Welcome to the world, little one! Mandy Moore just shared a picture of her first child, a boy, and he’s so adorable. In a picture posted to Instagram on February 23, Moore revealed that she had given birth, and that her son’s name is August Harrison Goldsmith. But he’ll go by Gus.

“Gus is here 💙💙💙💙. Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T,” she wrote. Arriving right on his due date. What a respectful young fellow!

In the picture, Gus’s face is slightly obscured (privacy!), but we can still see the happy newborn chillin’ in a light blue onesie. Moore tagged her husband, Taylor Goldsmith of the band Dawes, in the picture, which he posted to his own account as well, with the same caption.

Celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the couple on their new arrival. Hilary Duff wrote “Congratulations to Gus’ mom and dad!!!!! Welcome to the world dude !” on Goldsmith’s post, and her husband Matthew added, “DAD!!!!”

“A Thousand Miles” singer Vanessa Carlton commented, “Such precision Gus! Congrats you guys. Enjoy the most profound ride x.” Meanwhile, The Office star Jenna Fischer wrote, “Congratulations!!!” 

Moore also got happy comments from Kiernan Shipka, Broadway’s Eden Espinoza and former White House photographer Pete Souza. Everybody loves Gus.

Moore revealed recently that she was planning to undergo surgery on her uterus to deal with possible endometriosis issues in an effort to conceive, but decided to try one last time beforehand, and that’s when she got pregnant with Gus. Looks like this guy’s special skill is coming right on time. Congratulations on your beautiful baby, Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith!
