‘Love Is Blind’ Season 2 Had a Whole Other Engagement You Didn’t See Onscreen

Love Is Blind is back, bringing drama inside and outside the pods. But while season-two viewers are busy discussing the mess between Shayne, Shaina, and Natalie, we’ve been losing our minds over the fact that there was a couple that got engaged but weren’t featured on the Netflix reality series.

As a refresher: The Netflix dating show centers around a group of singles who meet on blind dates via personal pods and talk through a wall. They meet each other face-to-face only if one person proposes. With 15 male and 15 female singles, it’s hard to follow everyone’s journey—but if you can believe it, a whole engagement managed to pass viewers by.

Costars Caitlin McKee and Joey Miller actually left the series engaged, but their courtship wasn’t included in the show. The two shared on Instagram their experiences on and off the show together. Unfortunately, the two called off the engagement, but they remain close, and McKee says the show helped her create “genuine connections.”

“Watching the couples meet in the pods, fall in love, and experience their first reveal transported me right back to that place,” McKee wrote. “What you didn’t see is that I also found love in the pods and left the show with a fiancé. @millerj5001 and I had an amazing summer and fall with the opportunity to travel, meet each other’s families, and build a genuine relationship without the cameras and crew. Although we ultimately chose to go our separate ways recently, we are choosing to remain friends and he will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Miller, in his own post, thanked the Love Is Blind experience for helping him learn what he wants out of a life partner. Of McKee, he wrote, “We vibed from first pod date, got WAY deep WAY fast, surprised each other with Drumsticks/tacos/Tequila/Bieber serenades, got engaged without ever seeing each other, and had an amazing summer and fall together without all the cameras. Grateful to @loveisblindnetflix for introducing me to such a strong, caring, and compassionate woman. We are no longer together, but absolutely fell in love blindly.”

The Love Is Blind season-two finale is set to premiere next Friday, February 25, so we still have a chance to see which couples will make it to the altar
