Lizzo Surprised Her Mom With a New Car, and the Video of the Reveal Is So Sweet

Lizzo’s latest social media post post puts her in the running for best daughter. The singer-rapper surprised her mom, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, with a brand new car and shared a video of the moment it went down. 

“Got my mommy a brand new Audi for Xmas 🎄I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family,” Lizzo wrote on Instagram December 20, alongside the video. “I couldn’t do it for my dad so ima make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’all.” 

Her mom’s reaction to receiving the car is priceless. “You see these things on television and you never expect them to happen to yourself,” Johnson-Jefferson says as she approaches the car with a big red bow on it. Lizzo points out it’s an Audi with the “circles on it,” referencing the brand’s famous logo.

“I’m so proud of her,” Johnson-Jefferson said last year of her daughter’s massive success. “Oh my God, this has just been the greatest ride. … Us being together has been the best part.”
