Lana Condor Drops Her Skin-Care Routine

[ad_1]

Work hard, self-care harder. That’s not how the saying goes, but if it were up to Lana Condor—who has certainly been working hard since her breakthrough role in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before—we should all be prioritizing our mental health. “In this past year, if we’ve learned anything, we have to really take care of our ourself and our brains first before we can be good at anything else that we do in our life,” Condor tells Glamour. “Beauty starts from the inside, and if you’re not okay on the inside, then…what’s the point?”

The actor is teaming up with Victoria’s Secret Pink this holiday season to help spotlight the importance of mental health and self-care. In partnership with The Jed Foundation, a nonprofit that promotes emotional health and suicide prevention for teens in the United States, Pink and Condor are helping provide mental health resources for those in need. “Press Pause is an awesome website that has a lot of really quick and efficient tools that you can use for your mental health,” Condor says. “There’s awesome, efficient, and convenient tools that can help you prepare for the holidays, of course, but also just for life.”

A homebody at heart, Condor is all about self-care. She’s officially in “full cozy mode” for the holidays, wearing matching sweatsuits and indulging in her favorite skin-care products after a busy year of filming. “I’m working full-time, and I just finished a show,” says Condor. “The products I use are more heavy-duty and more, dare I say, aggressive, mainly because I know that they work.” Due to her hectic schedule, Condor values efficiency and convenience when choosing products for her combination skin. “When I’m working a ton, my skin leans toward dry. However, I think the health of your skin starts from inside. When I’m stressed or if I’m not eating healthy, obviously I break out. So I think a lot of it has to do with the inside first.”

So what helps Condor feel beautiful inside and out? Read on for her essential products in another installment of Drop the Routine

My cleanser

Currently I use the iS Clinical Cleansing Complex. I love it because it is heavy-duty and gets the job done. I can go to sleep faster.

My toner.

I’ll use witch hazel if I feel like I really need it, but it’s not part of my every-single-day routine.

My serum

The iS Clinical Advanced Pro-Heal Serum is my baby. I’m realizing now that a lot of my answers have been out of convenience and speed, but I really do think that it is a very convenient serum. It does the trick quickly, and it hasn’t let me down. It keeps my skin clear, keeps the pores tight, and keeps the skin looking fresh.

My moisturizer

I have been an avid user of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer. It’s a classic. It has never failed me. When I’m working, I tend to lean on the dry side. It’s like drinking a glass of water. You can find it anywhere, which I really love because I’m always on the move. I often forget to pack certain things, and you can always find Neutrogena products anywhere. I take a huge glob and slather it on my skin.

My eye cream

Right now I’ve been using the La Mer The Eye Concentrate. It’s a product I use that’s luxe, and I really love it. It comes with a little tool where you just take a gob of it and use that cooling tool to put it on your undereyes. I only use a little bit because it absorbs right in. Another great product that I use every day when I’m working is Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, which are awesome undereye masks. That helps a lot with dark circles. That helps a lot with looking tired.

My face mask

Neutrogena is my go-to. Sometimes I’ll use the Talika Bubble Mask Bio-Detox if I feel there’s a lot of toxins that I’m trying to pull from my skin, but mostly I use Neutrogena. Masks feel so luxe and make me feel like a queen, but it really helps my skin.

My spot treatments

The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. You just spot-treat, and it dries up any breakout that you have. That one is awesome and has not let me down. That’s always with me.

My face oil

This is a new find that I’ve been only using for the past six months, but Alo came out with skin care. I was shopping in their store, and I’m kind of like a salesperson’s dream. If you tell me something, I’m willing to try it. So I picked up their Glow System Head-to-Toe Glow Oil, which you can also use for your nails, skin, hair, all the things. That’s a great product. I’ve been really loving it.

My face mist

The Copper Firming Mist from iS Clinical is very hydrating and instantly refreshes the face. Especially if you’ve been on Zoom meetings all day or, in my case, you’ve been in front of lights a ton. It really helps.

My sunscreen

I use Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense. They have a serum that is amazing. I love it because it doesn’t have a white cast, which is important for me. And it smells good. It’s convenient sometimes if I’m really, really lazy, which is usually every day,  so I will use their Invisible Daily Defense Sunscreen Mist.

My lip balm

Vaseline. You cannot go wrong. It doesn’t let you down. I have really dry lips. So I just need the heavy-duty stuff on that. A tub will last you forever, and you can find it everywhere.

My tools

I use NuFace a ton. They have that great tool that helps with tightening fine lines, aging, and firming. I gua sha every day. If you stumble upon gua sha videos on social media, it can seem intimidating, but it is well worth learning the ways because it really helps with firming and brightening and tightening. But it’s also a really great face massage that gets you ready for the day. You also feel like you’re taking care of yourself. You deserve the pampering!
