Lady Gaga Is Literally Glowing in This New Topless, Makeup-Free Selfie

Lady Gaga’s had a busy few months. This spring the pop icon traveled to Italy to film her movie House of Gucci, in which she costars with Adam Driver, Jared Leto, and Al Pacino. She also rolled out a multi-week 10-year anniversary celebration for her groundbreaking album, Born This Way. This is all to say Mother Monster is in need of some R&R, and according to her latest Instagram post, she’s doing just that. 

The Chromatica singer posted a stunning makeup-free, topless selfie to her grid on July 6 and captioned it, “May your 🖤 shine like the ☀️.” Presumably poolside, Gaga is literally glowing, and her brown hair looks shimmery in the sunlight. It’s otherworldly, to be honest. Check it out for yourself, below, and be transformed. I think Lady Gaga just won summer. 

In June, Gaga released a special edition of Born This Way with songs re-recorded by queer artists and allies, including Big Freedia, Ben Platt, and Kylie Minogue. “Thank you to each of the incredible artists who reimagined #BornThisWay songs,” she wrote on Instagram. “And thank you Little Monsters for continuing to build our community of love, acceptance, and kindness for the last 10 years. I’m so grateful for each of you. Rejoice and love yourself today ‘cause baby, you were born this way.” 

House of Gucci is slated to come out in November 2021; it was directed by Ridley Scott, who helmed Gladiator, The Martian, and All the Money in the World, among other critically-acclaimed projects. 

A remix album of Gaga’s latest LP Chromatica is rumored to be in the works, as well, with alleged features from Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, Dorian Electra and other tastemakers on pop’s cutting edge. The Chromatica Ball concert tour was pushed back to 2022 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
