Kelly Rowland Reunited With Beyoncé and Michelle Williams While She Gave Birth

This birth was bootylicious. This birth was jumpin’, jumpin’. And the child that arrived? Was a child of destiny. Because Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland had both Beyoncé and Michelle Williams with her, via Zoom, as she delivered her son Noah back in January.

“They were able to see Noah come into the world. It was beautiful,” Rowland told People. She shared that other Zoom participants included Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, and Rowland’s mother-in-law. Kelly Rowland and Tim Weatherspoon have been married since 2014 and also share another son, Titan Jewell.

Why have we never thought of this? You can have as many people in the delivery room as you want if you just…put them on Zoom. Plus, that way, if they start to annoy you, you don’t even have to ask them to step outside. You just End Meeting. Brilliant.

Rowland, Williams, and Beyoncé have remained tight since the end of their time as a girl group, including reuniting to perform at the Super Bowl in 2013 and being like aunts to one another’s children. Rowland called them both “awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome” aunts and revealed that “they met [Noah] [in person] immediately.”

At the time, she told Entertainment Tonight, “The girls were literally over here at the house just recently, and when they met the baby, it was like another part of my heart just… Being able to share space with Michelle and Bey is truly a gift.

“It’s really a gift because we’ve known each other for so long and the industry doesn’t really make friendships,” she continued. “It’s the nature of it, and we still have each other after all these years…. And I’m just so grateful for them and they are a highlight of my life—not professionally but our friendship and our sisterhood.”

BRB, putting a ton of Destiny’s Child tracks on my birth playlist. (I am not pregnant, but it never hurts to be prepared, right?)
