Kelley Flanagan Just Addressed Her Breakup With Peter Weber

The Bachelor alums giveth, and the Bachelor alums taketh away. After dating for six months, Kelley Flanagan and Peter “Pilot Pete” Weber have called it quits—and Flanagan just took to Instagram to share her side of the story. On a post from January 3, she wrote, “I know a lot of you have already heard the news, but I wanted to take some time to process it for myself before sharing…It saddens me to say this, but Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways.”

Weber and Flanagan had one of the most interesting starts to a relationship in Bachelor franchise history. As you may recall, she was a contestant on his season of The Bachelor but didn’t make it past the seventh week of the show. Weber, meanwhile, proposed to Hannah Ann Sluss at the end of his season, then called off the engagement and dated runner-up Madison Prewett for a bit. He and Flanagan reconnected at the 2020 Super Bowl, and despite downplaying the rumors they were dating, soon became an official couple.

But on New Year’s Day 2021, Weber announced he and Flanagan had split. “Love is a funny thing. It can make you you feel on top of the world and it can make you feel a pain you wish didn’t exist…Thank you Kelley.” Flanagan was similarly heartfelt in her own post about the breakup, writing, “Peter and I had some unbelievable times together and they will definitely be missed. Unfortunately him and I are in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently…I wish Peter the absolute best and want to thank everyone for your continued support as I move on to my next chapter.”

According to Cosmopolitan, Weber left a simple heart emoji in the comments on Flanagan’s post.
