Katy and Orlando Shared Some Sweet PDA Seconds After Her Inauguration Performance

Katy Perry closed out the Celebrating America special on January 20, and she did it with a performance of her hit song “Firework.” Literal fireworks exploded in the background as she belted out the pop anthem, which was very fitting, given the occasion: President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s inauguration

Perry looked stunning in a white dress and gloves with her blond hair slicked back. It was unclear whether her boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, had accompanied her to Washington, D.C., but now we know he did.

The actor posted a video to Instagram revealing he was actually steps away from Perry as she sang “Firework.” And seconds after she wrapped the performance, the two shared a sweet kiss.

“One day our little girl will grow up and see her mother play her part in a moment in history that we hope will heal, we hope will unite, we hope, we love ❤️,” he wrote in the caption. “One proud partner here with a tear of joy 🇺🇸🎆🙏.”

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child together, daughter Daisy, in August 2020. (Bloom shares a son, Flynn Christopher, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.)

They announced Daisy’s arrival via a post for UNICEF, a humanitarian organization that provides developmental aid to children worldwide.

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” they said in the post. “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”
