Ella Emhoff is turning heads at her Paris Fashion Week debut. Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter walked in Balenciaga’s fall/winter 2021/2022 show on Wednesday, June 7, and absolutely stunned.

The IMG Models Instagram account shared video clips of Emhoff’s PFW debut, in which she’s modeling a chic black ensemble. She signed with the modeling agency in January and made her debut walking in Proenza Schouler’s show during New York Fashion Week.

Ivan Bart, president of IMG Models, told The New York Times about signing Ella Emhoff, “It’s not really about shape, size, or gender anymore. Ella communicates this moment in time. There’s a cheekiness and a joy she exudes.”

Emhoff told the publication herself, “I was pretty surprised when everything with IMG was happening because when I was younger, I never saw that as being part of my timeline. As someone who, like a lot of young girls out there, had self-confidence issues, it is intimidating and scary to go into this world that is hyper-focused on you and the body.”

Emhoff first caught people’s attention at the inauguration when she wore a stunning bedazzled Miu Miu coat

Even though Emhoff is fairly new to modeling at fashion weeks, she did have some experience before getting signed by IMG; she was signed with a smaller agency before landing this major deal. It’s worth mentioning IMG also reps Ashley Graham, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Brooke Shields, Chanel Iman, Hailey Bieber, Kate Moss, and others.

When Emhoff graduated college in May, Harris took to Instagram and wrote, “Congratulations to our daughter, Ella, on her graduation. I am so proud of you. Keep dreaming with ambition and there is nothing you cannot achieve. Love, Momala.”

“My children don’t call me stepmom, they call me Momala,” Harris told People. “We’re a very modern family. Their mom is a close friend of mine.”
