Justin Timberlake Opens Up About His Second Child With Jessica Biel: ‘Nobody’s Sleeping’

At long last, Justin Timberlake confirmed that he and his wife Jessica Biel welcomed their second child, a boy named Phineas.

The full interview with Ellen DeGeneres will air on January 18, but the host posted a teaser clip in which Timberlake revealed their son’s name and shared how the family is getting along. “He’s awesome and so cute. Nobody’s sleeping,” the singer-actor said with a laugh. “But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier, very grateful.”

In the clip, DeGeneres revealed that she knew about Phineas when Biel was still pregnant. “I think we were FaceTiming and you said, ‘Hey, you want to know a secret?’ and then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach. You were like, ‘I’m having another baby!’”

Timberlake admitted the television host was one of the “first people outside our immediate family” to know of the child.

Timberlake and Biel, who have been married since 2012, welcomed their first son, Silas, in April 2015. In July 2020, the Daily Mail reported that the couple had welcomed a second child, but neither the singer nor actor confirmed the news until now—about six months later.

However, some believe Timberlake hinted at the pregnancy back in May 2020 when he posted a Mother’s Day tribute to Biel. Swipe to the third pic to see the couple in matching “Papa Bear” and “Mama Bear” robes.

According to People, Justin Timberlake also opened up about the difference between raising one child with raising two. “We don’t see each other anymore,” he joked. “It’s a lot of fun. I guess the saying goes go from a zone defense to a man-to-man really quickly. It’s great. Silas is super excited.”

The 5-year-old is apparently enjoying big-brotherhood. “Right now he’s very much liking it,” Timberlake said. “Phin can’t walk yet or chase him down, so we’ll see what happens.”
