‘Jeopardy!’ Low-Key Predicted Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Reunion

Did the game show Jeopardy! predict Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s reunion? Well, no, not really, but it did feature their iconic couple name in a recent episode, proving the two A-listers will always be associated with each other, no matter what.

Affleck and Lopez were the question (remember, on Jeopardy! the questions are the answers) on an episode of the beloved trivia show that aired on Friday, May 14. But as fans are aware, the program tapes weeks before it airs, meaning the clip was filmed before the two stars were spotted hanging out or vacationing together in Montana. Plus, the questions have to be written way before tape day. All of which is to say that “Bennifer” has been on America’s mind for, like, two decades, not just two weeks. And yeah, maybe the show did low-key predict the reunion! 

Also, can we talk about poor Justin, seen in the clip answering, “Who is Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston?” Close! There are many famous Jennifers! Affleck was even married to another one: Garner. But come on dude, you don’t remember the days of Affleck and Lopez on the red carpet? Aniston was half of an entirely different iconic 2000s couple. Put some respect on Brad Pitt’s name.

Viewers of the show were tickled to see the headline-making couple’s reunion being “predicted.”

Affleck said about Lopez in a March 2021 story for InStyle, “I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts. She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
