Jennifer Lopez Tried Out Bubblegum Pink Hair, and It’s Very Punk Rock

Jennifer Lopez’s latest look is straight-up candy coated. 

In a new ad for Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), the multihyphenate superstar rocks bright bubblegum pink hair, a far cry from her usual sleek and polished honey-brown mane. Check out the transformation here.

Now, this is almost certainly a wig or extensions, but still. It reminds us of the 2000s, when pop stars were more experimental with their hair color. That’s toned down a bit lately. Billie Eilish ditched her blue and green hair colors for bottle blonde. Avril Lavigne phased out her colored streaks. Even Pink herself is no longer pink of hair.

Nail artist Tom Bachik posted another snap from the photo shoot (check it out here) in which Lopez actually blows a bubble, just to drive the point home. 

If you’re ready to think pink, consult a stylist who can advise you on how many treatments it’ll take. There are so many more pretty fall hair colors to try, as well. I’m currently obsessed with bronze hair for a warm autumn glow and mocha melt if you’re ready to commit to highlights.
