Jennifer Lopez Sent Alex Rodriguez’s Daughter a Sweet Message Amid Breakup

Just because Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke up doesn’t mean she ended her relationship with his kids. 

On April 21, Lopez took to Instagram to wish Rodriguez’s daughter, Ella, a happy 13th birthday. “Happy birthday Ella Bella,” Lopez wrote alongside a beautiful black-and-white photo of the pair hugging. 

The families have become close since Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017. Rodriguez also shares a 16-year-old daughter, Natasha, with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis. On her side, Lopez shares 13-year-old twins, Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz, with her ex-husband Marc Antony. 

Rodriguez also shared a birthday message to his daughter. “I just can’t believe my Ella Bella turns 13 today. My baby girl is officially a teenager!!” he wrote in the caption of a video tribute, which included his ex. “Ella—everyday you amaze me more than I could have ever imagined. You are smart, mature, talented, caring, and funny. I am so proud of the young woman you are becoming and so lucky and grateful to be your dad. I love you so much.”

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez officially called off their two-year engagement on April 15. “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” they said in a joint statement to Today on Thursday, April 15. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.” 

However, recent reports suggest that Lopez broke things off with the baseball player over trust issues. “Whether or not he has cheated doesn’t matter. She won’t tolerate the fear of it in the air between them” a source told People.

A recent Instagram “like” on Lopez’s end also speaks to a less-than-friendly split. Still, it’s good to see any bad blood between the formerly happy couple hasn’t tainted their relationships with the kids.
